Help Our Fluffy Friends

Help Our Fluffy Friends (HOFF) was a virtual event, organised in collaboration with Causes For Animals Singapore (CAS), to raise awareness, encourage and educate viewers on adoption and sponsorship processes for stray animals.  

The student team planned, conceptualised and executed the virtual event which aired on 27 September 2020 on Facebook Live.  Event highlights included the student team introducing dogs up for adoption and providing information on caring for pets and integrating them into our lives.  In addition, the team conceptualised an interactive marketing strategy with a giveaway from sponsorships secured for the event.  HOFF achieved 119 concurrent viewers, 1,700 viewers in total, $450 in donations, 3 sponsors and an audience with heightened awareness of adoption, sponsorship and caring of animals.   

It was a challenging project as most work was done during the COVID-19 pandemic circuit breaker phases 1 and 2.  Furthermore, the team had to rely on self-directed learning to pick up storyboarding skills, operating audio-visual equipment, filming and editing videos using Adobe and Canva and broadcasting the event using Open Broadcaster Studio (OBS) software.  Regardless, it was an enriching journey and the student team is grateful for the support of the client, lecturers, sponsors and volunteers.
