5 Polytechnics and ITE came together to organise the Inaugural Tourism Career Fair at the Temasek Polytechnic on 31 October 2018. The event was held with strong support from the SkillsFuture Singapore, Workforce Singapore and Singapore Tourism Board. About 500 guests comprising of industry guests, students and staff from the IHLs were invited. The students were mainly from tourism-related diplomas and other feeder programmes for the various IHLs Tourism ELPs. 42 DEPM graduating students were privileged to attend the event to learn more about career prospects in the dynamic tourism industry. They attended various pop-up talks, toured the exhibition showcase and networked with industry partners after attending the official opening.
