Xperience Workshop Part 1

School of Architecture & the Built Environment (ABE) held its first Xperience Workshop Part 1 on 26 Oct 2022. The event targets upper secondary school students and aims to promote general awareness about the Built Environment industry as well as help the participants to understand the related educational and career choices.

Xperience Workshop Part 1 introduced courses such as the Diploma in Architecture and Diploma in Civil Engineering, both of which are centred very much on design and STEM subjects. Participants learned about common building concepts taught in these courses and participated in hands-on activities such as bridge construction and learning how to draw on a design software, SketchUp.

The event was well-received and participants shared many positive feedbacks about the engaging activities as well as the warm hospitality of our SP/ABE staff and students.

Part 2 and 3 of Xperience workshop will be launching in first half of 2023, of which DFM, DID, DEPM, and DLA will be featured.
