Biomedical Science final year project research published in high impact journal

Congratulations to Biomedical Science alumni, Ignatius Mario Doli Sentosa, Poh Qian Hui, and Wong Whye Yen, on their first successful co-authored scientific publication!

Published in Scientific Reports 5, Article number: 8731, the research entitled “Helicobacter pylori infection can affect energy modulating hormones and body weight in germ free mice” is a collaborative effort between the School of Chemical & Life Sciences, Centre for Biomedical & Life Sciences, and DBS alumnus, Dr Loke Mun Fai from the University of Malaya. Scientific Reports is an online, open access journal from the publishers of Nature and has an impact factor of 5.078. This places Scientific Reports 5th among all multidisciplinary science primary research journals.

Currently Ignatius is busy serving his National Service while Qian Hui and Whye Yen are reading Life Science at NUS and Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Sydney (MOHH Healthcare Merit Award Scholarship) respectively.
