Reuben Shaun Raman (DMAT Class of ’10) was recently awarded the National Arts Council Arts Scholarship (Undergraduate) to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Recorded Music at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University (USA).

Reuben started his own music production company, SoundFarm Production Studios in 2009 while he was still a student at Singapore Polytechnic (SP). Through his studio, Reuben had worked with many budding and veteran artists like Ling Kai, Natalie Hiong, Stefanie Sun, Iskandar Ismail and The Sam Willows, etc. He had also served as a Live Recording Engineer for MTV Asia. Presently a first year student at Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in Recorded Music, Reuben had had the opportunity to intern with Dave Tozer, an award-winning music producer who worked with R&B, hip-hop and pop artists like Kanye West, John Mayer and John Legend. He believes his education at Tisch will help further cultivate his entrepreneurial ability, and introduce new ideas to propel the music scene in Singapore to the next level.
