National Young Leader Award 2021

The Straits Times, 18 September 2021 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Infocomm Security Management student Alwis Lim Wei Yao who was presented with the National Young Leader Award given out by the Halogen Foundation. He was recognised for his work in helping primary and secondary school children living in rental flats in Kebun Baru gain digital literacy by holding workshops to teach the children how to use Zoom and Google slides. Alwis was one of five winners selected from a pool of 150 applicants aged 15 to 19 after a stringent selection process that included two rounds of panel interviews and an online voting exercise by members of the public.
