SP DAAA team secures 3rd place in NUS-RightShip Maritime Hackathon 2024

30 Jan 2024

Congratulations to our four Year 1 students from the Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics (DAAA) course for winning 3rd place in the NUS-RightShip Maritime Hackathon 2024.

The hackathon was jointly hosted by the Centre for Maritime Studies at the National University of Singapore and RightShip and aimed to use data analytics solutions to assess emissions during vessel berthing at Singapore ports and explore electrification’s impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The event attracted more than 80 teams from across Singapore’s tertiary institutions. It is impressive that the SP DAAA team made it to the top 3! This hackathon is a great opportunity to address critical environmental issues and create a more sustainable future for the maritime industry.
