Singapore Polytechnic Open House – Hear it first

Hear It First is a new element added to the annual Singapore Polytechnic (SP) Open House last year due to Covid-19. It is a student-led live talk show where lecturers and students share their experiences in SP to help prospective students learn more about the school so they can make an informed decision on their future study path.

SP collaborated with students from the Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management for the three-day event from 6 – 8 January 2022, to manage the event from conceptualisation to shutdown and evaluation.

Hear It First 2022 has three different focus pillars of Body, Mind and Heart for each respective day that showcases SP from a student’s perspective.

The team acquired skills important for organising virtual events, such as filming, coordination and liaising with clients. They were able to run the live event successfully and smoothly with very few issues. All in all, it was a rewarding experience for all involved.
