AEC End-of-Academic Year Gathering 2019
09 Apr 2019
The academic year has come to a close. A group of Adjunct Lecturers gathered at The Hall on Wed, 27th March 2019 to celebrate a well-spent year and to network among themselves and with Deputy Principal (Development) Mr. Hee Joh Liang, Director of PACE Academy, Mr. Suresh Punjabi, and key members of his team.
This is an Adult Educator’s Community (AEC)’s event giving an opportunity for our adjunct lecturers to interact with Mr. Hee and Mr. Suresh to learn about what SP has done for CET over the year and where CET is heading in the coming year.
Mr. Suresh Punjabi opened the gathering with a word of thanks to all adjunct lecturers for their efforts in the last two years in particular to support SP’s ramp up of CET. Mr. Hee’s personal sharing of his experience venturing into the CET space resonates with many of the adjunct lecturers present. His challenge to them is to remain relevant and take advantage of the newly launched Skills Framework for the Training & Adult Education (TAE) Framework to take up upskilling courses that will help them keep in touch with the changing needs of training in the work places.
He assures the adjunct lecturers that there will always be a need to tap on them for SP’s CET aspiration in the years ahead.
A sumptuous dinner followed the dialogue session with many adjunct lecturers enjoying themselves catching up with friends and staff of PACE.
