Applied AI and Analytics student award the Lee Kwan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading

Meet Rejey Ezekiel Jeyakumar, a Year 1 student enrolled in the Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics (DAAA) course, who has been honored with the prestigious Lee Kwan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading (LKY-STEP). It is an annual award to recognise outstanding ITE graduates who have performed well academically and attained good co-curricular activity records and to encourage them to continue their life-long journey.

"I chose the SP DAAA because of SP's reputation for offering excellent computing courses. Additionally, SP DAAA provides University pathway programs that facilitate a smoother transition into University life. What particularly piqued my interest in this course was a project by my seniors, a lab management system capable of detecting items such as food, valuables, and objects. This innovation struck me as both unique and highly practical. Coupled with modules covering data visualization, data analysis, machine learning, and deep learning, it became clear that this course aligned perfectly with my aspirations to create AI solutions that can help people. With the guidance and support of my seniors and lecturers, I am confident that I can achieve this goal through my studies in DAAA at SP."
