SoC alumni received Defence Scholarships

The School of Computing (SoC) is proud to announce the achievement of Rachel Tan Min Zhi (Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics, Class of 2023) and Dextor Goh Shao Wei (Diploma in Infocomm Security Management, Class of 2021).

Rachel received the DSTA Scholarship and is pursuing a degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at NTU. She conveyed how her education at SoC has served as an exceptional foundation for her university studies.

"The DAAA course has helped me establish strong groundwork in programming, mathematics, analytical thinking, and machine learning. I was exposed to a plethora of opportunities, such as hackathons and purposeful AI projects, which were instrumental in honing both my technical proficiency and soft skills. Throughout these engagements, my lecturers provided constant guidance and support, further enriching the knowledge I have gained. Undoubtedly enriching, my DAAA experience has thoroughly equipped me for both my current university studies as well as a potential career in AI."

Dextor is a SAF Merit Scholarship recipient and pursuing a degree in Information Security at NUS.
