14 Sep 2021

LifeHack 2021 is a 24-hour virtual hackathon organised by NUS Computing and NUS Computing Club which was held from 23 to 24 July. With only 24 hours, participants were tasked to develop innovative solutions to make positive changes in peoples’ lives for a post-COVID world.

Current year two students from the Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics (DAAA), Fleming Siow Yi and Ng Le Jie, joined Lim Hong Shun from the Diploma in Infocomm Security Management (DISM) to form Team Dreamscape. Their solution, CoReality, creates a unique and immersive experience for students and teachers to converse and learn online all through the use of Virtual Reality technology.

“It was simply exhilarating! 24 hours to develop a whole new prototype in a high-pressured competitive environment while using totally new tools and technologies was never going to be easy, but with ingenuity, lots of experimentation and tweaking, we are  so glad we managed to pull it off to win LifeHack 2021’s Most Impressive Pre-University Hack.”
