The project aims to design and develop a fixture, which would be used to hold and machine a “Tray Base” on the CNC Milling Machine (3 axis). The “Tray Base” workpiece would be machined down from a raw material unit.
The fixture must be able to present the raw material towards the cutting tool. The desired “Tray Base” workpiece must be produced with high precision and accuracy. In addition, the fixture designed must allow for high repeatability
and cut short the machining set-up time. The fixture would be used in a smart factory workspace which would aid engineers during the machining process as it braces productivity.
