3 Year 1 DASE Students Clinched Award during COGITO Ideation Competition 2018

Congratulations to Team 3H comprising Lee Wei Juin, Heng Yin Qi and Lee Newton for achieving 2nd runner up for their project titled “Project Tip” under the supervision of Senior Lecturer, Mr Teo Shin Jen during the COGITO Ideation Competition which was held on 13 October 2018. This competition was sponsored by SP Group and organised by Singapore Polytechnic.   

The team adopted and reserved the concept of Archimedean Screw to generate electricity by using varying rates of water flow in the drainages, usually found in surrounding swimming pools or buildings. Through their findings, they realised that the power generated could potentially power night lighting within the swimming pools. Moving forward, Team 3H would continue to work closely with potential stakeholders to develop a pilot program to further test and validate the idea.
