EEE Students in ‘Engage’ Experience @ Pre-U Seminar to Renew Singapore Dream

09 Jun 2017

Pre-University Seminar, a prestigious seminar involving ministers, leaders, industry partners, pre-university students was held at NUS, UTown from 29 May – 1 June 2017. The theme this year was “Renewing Our Singapore Dream.” The event, which had a current affairs focus, was organised by Catholic Junior College in tandem with the Ministry of Education. Participants were encouraged to be active citizens through active participation and action.

6 EEE students were among members of the 19-strong SP Team who had a fruitful journey engaging and learning from experts and the public, from green companies to elderly folks in Chinatown. They had the opportunity to plan, research and execute a Special Engagement Activity to engage chosen beneficiaries during the seminar, and to participate in panel discussions and an Expert Interview.

Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defence, Mr Ong Ye Kung, was the Guest-of-Honour at the Closing Ceremony and Exhibition on the last day of the Seminar. Two of our EEE students, Anthony Neo and Sean Tin had the chance to share their team’s findings and learning with him.
