Innovative Ideas at EEE Design Contest 2015

On 13 February, 35 teams of Year 2 students set up microcontroller based “creations” at the microcontroller laboratory and competed against each other. They had to pit in terms of ideas, technical competency & salesmanship. Winners walked away with vouchers and certificates.
These students taking the Microcontroller Applications module put their Design Thinking skills to work. They interviewed and observed end users and developed insights. They brainstormed and selected good ideas for implementation. Sketches, personas, block diagrams, flowcharts, circuit fabrication, programming, interfacing, and troubleshooting kept them busy for the most part of the second term.
The judges, most of whom are microcontroller experts, debated and finally awarded prizes to 12 teams. Congratulations to all the winners!
