Open House 2014 for Parents of First-Year Students

The annual SEEE Open House was held on 19 July 2014 for parents of first year students. The gathering was held to establish a channel of communication between parents and the School. It also provided parents with an update of their children’s progress in their new environment.
 

The various Course Chairmen welcomed parents and students and highlighted the shift in today’s education to one where students, parents and lecturers have to work closely together to ensure a better success rate for the students. Personal tutors also met parents and students. The results of the recent mid semester where shown to the parents and other matters were also discussed.

During tea, showcase of student projects were shown. These included projects like robotics, prototype helicopter and a solar vehicle and some other projects from Makers’ Club. The parents were amazed at what EEE students are capable of producing.

After this, parents accompanied by their children and their personal tutors, visited some of the laboratories and facilities of the School.
