Silver Award Win for Tri+CK Team in Amazing Science X-Challenge 2015

Tri+CK Team, consisting of Year 2 DES students, Noven, Debra and Kee Fong, clinched the Silver Award in the Amazing Science X-Challenge 2015 (ASXC 2015) on 18 Sep 2015

Organised by DSO National Laboratories (DSO), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Science Centre Singapore (SCS), ASXC 2015 challenged teams to build THE X-hibit with THE X-factor. Participating teams had to design and build a stand-alone exhibit that not only best explained a physical science phenomenon but also fascinated, engaged and inspired their audience. Pitting against the likes from other Universities and Polytechnics, Tri+CK Team’s exhibit, “Rising to the Occasion,” fascinated the judges with its originality and creativity in presenting and explaining how acoustic levitation could be achieved through the superposition principle of sound waves. The winning exhibit was selected by the MOE Curriculum Planning and Development Division for inclusion in the MOE Students Learning Space initiative.
