Best Presentation Award for EEE team @ AAV Challenge 2017

EEE’s team, “SP Aero 1,” won the Best Presentation Award in the Autonomous Aerial Vehicle Challenge (AAVC) 2017 at Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 24 to 26 Nov 2017. The team had to design, build and demonstrate a UAV that could search and deliver a survival kit, which was a 500g payload, to critically ill patients at several locations during one flight. Their search and rescue UAV had to identify the exact position of the target and have the capability to fly a long distance (3 km) to complete the mission. It must be able to detect several false targets in the target zone so as not to be distracted from the correct mission target. The mission would be considered completed only if the payload was dropped onto the correct target.
