DCPE Team Cotton won Second Prize in Penta Hack!

DCPE Team Cotton won second prize in Penta Hack! on 11 Apr 2023. This was an AI-powered hackathon competition organised by the AI Student User Groups from all five polytechnics. The finals were held at the Developer Space @Google Singapore on 11 Apr 2023.

The team designed a three-part, AI-based assistive technology tool to aid children with ADHD and dyslexia in their linguistic and holistic developments. The three key components are as follows:

1. An engaging gesture based assistive educational tool to facilitate multi-sensory engagement
2. A gamified gesture based game control to play any online educational game in the world that uses W A S D  keys
3. An in-house developed educational GPT chatbot that will give personalised answers

For their achievement, the team won Baseus Earbuds, and a 1 year of Google colab pro subscription.
