EEE team won Special Prize at NAPROCK competition from 14 to 15 Oct 2023

EEE team won the Special Prize Award at the 15th NAPROCK competition in Fukui, Japan, from 14 to 15 Oct 2023.

The team, comprising three DCPE Year 2 students, developed an app “Gift-O”. It aimed to allow youths to support and help one another to cope with the demands of study, work and life in general. Users of Gift-O can share their daily message and progress of personal goals with friends. They can craft and send personalised digital notes, seasonal gifts, and customised flowers to cheer and support their friends. The app is also capable of suggesting activities for friends to meet up, based on their personality types captured during the sign-up. Implemented with Augmented Reality (AR) functionality, users are also able to easily compose a selfie with the digital gifts, notes, or flowers that they have received. The app helped to foster closer companionships and keep the commitment to achieving goals with timely encouragements from and celebrations with friends.
