Course Introduction:

The course provides a structural approach in guiding businesses embarking on environmental sustainability transformation via Learn-Assess-Prioritise-Plan model using Green Compass. Green Compass is an environmental sustainability assessment and strategic road mapping tool that helps companies to become more environmentally sustainable by better managing carbon emissions, energy, water, and waste impacts as well as chart strategic roadmaps for transformation based on existing environmental sustainability levels.

Course Objective

The objective of the course is to allow enterprises/businesses to assess readiness in environmentally sustainability via gap analysis so as to drive and achieve sustainability goals and prioritise areas for improvement to maximise financial and strategic impacts. This is to facilitate the development of a strategic roadmap driving environmental sustainability with ready solutions or technologies.                  

Course Outline

Course Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to: 

  1. Assess readiness in environmentally sustainability via Green Compass 
  2. Conduct gap analysis to drive and achieve sustainability goals
  3. Develop a strategic roadmap in environmental sustainability

  1. Understand the Green Compass model in environmental sustainability assessment
  2. Carry out environmental sustainability assessment via Green Compass
  3. Develop a strategic roadmap leading to environmental sustainability

Minimum Requirements

Nitec/Higher Nitec and above

Certification / Accreditation


• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate


• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate

Suitable for

Carbon Specialist / Energy Manager / Sustainability Engineer/Officer / including job roles and work functions related to environmental sustainability and/or contribute towards driving net zero targets for their companies.

As per SSG’s policy, the GST payable for all funding-eligible applicants is calculated based on prevailing GST rate after baseline funding subsidy of 70%
