Singapore International Robo Expo (SIRE) is an annual event for attendees to expand their networks, discover useful insights and information about the robotics industry. The 2018 edition was held on 1 & 2 Nov at Sands Expo and Convention Centre. It comprised of an exhibition for companies in the industry to exhibit and market their robots and a convention to facilitate networking and promote learning. At SIRE 2018, a team comprising of Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management (DEPM) students assisted the client, National Robotics R&D Programme Office (NR2PO) at their exhibition booth and the Expert Huddle Session which was a free seminar. Prior to SIRE 2018, we assisted in organising the NRP Robotics Seminar held in Singapore Polytechnic on 13 April where experts shared their experience in robotics R&D and real-world applications. In this project, the student team helped their client in their research, planning and on-site operation and management of the two events. Prior to the events, the students proposed ideas for door gifts, speakers and attendees; brainstormed for ways to entice attendees to visit the NR2PO exhibition booth and attend the Expert Huddle Session; planned the event flow and designed event collaterals. Post-Event the team presented a video recording of the Huddle Session to the client.
