Synopsis

Discharging waste water into a retention pond is a method developed and used by many plantation industries. After being treated to meet standards, the wastewater is discharged into river streams. The leftover thick sludge can be easily composted before being utilised as fertilisers. The project aims to look for better utilization of the fibrous solid waste turning it into bioplastic material.
