Course Objective

The Licensed Electrical Technician Preparatory Course will equip participants with the necessary theoretical foundation and practical application skills to carry out the work of a Licensed Electrical Technician.

Module 3: Electrical System Design

3.4 Design of Industrial and Commercial Electrical Installation

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be practicing Licensed Electricians with at least 5 years of relevant practical work experience.

Applicants only need to attend SIPG’s Practical Course if they possess:

• Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic or Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and
• At least 1 year of relevant practical work experience

The course is optional for applicants with:

• Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic or Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and
• At least 2 years of relevant practical work experience

Certification / Accreditation

Participants who have successfully completed all theoretical and practical modules will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement jointly issued by Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and SIPG.

As per SSG’s policy, the GST payable for all funding-eligible applicants is calculated based on prevailing GST rate after baseline funding subsidy of 70%
