Course Objective

This course aims to train participants in python programming and apply it to data wrangling and machine learning. Coupled with skills in data visualisation & storytelling, participants are able to derive and communicate data insights that may result in decisions leading to higher operational efficiencies or transformational changes

This course is specially curated for data analysts, associate data engineers and professionals in related fields.

Over the course of 20 weeks, participants will pick up industry-relevant skills and knowledge through 4 modules (5 weeks / module):

Python Foundation
Data Wrangling with Python
Applied Machine Learning
Data Visualisation & Storytelling

Course format:

Self-learning materials (3 - 4 hours / week), with hands-on tasks
(Optional) Online Q&A sessions with the trainer to clarify doubts on the materials and capstone assignment (2 hours at the end of each week)
Quiz and capstone assignment in Week 5

Module Exemption

Participants who have successfully completed the course and successfully enrolled in any of the following Specialist Diplomas, are eligible to apply for exemption for the module, IT8701 Introduction to Programming for Data Science:
