Course Objective

Through practical sessions, this course teaches how to set up Local Area Network and wireless network for office and home. Participants will learn about IP addressing and how to configure switch, router, wireless Access Point and broadband router with security implementation.

Basic computer skills.

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

Suitable for

The course will be useful to anyone who wants to know how computer networks are set up and how to configure different devices in a network. They will also have a good understanding of Wireless networks and its security measures.

Course Trainer(s)

Mr Chua Kay Chiang

Mr Chua Kay Chiang is a senior lecturer with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Singapore Polytechnic. He has developed and taught modules related to computer networking courses over 26 years. As a certified Cisco Network Academy CCNA instructor, he has also conducted Routing and Switching courses for industries and Wireless Networking courses for the public.

Mr Chua believes learning through hands-on experience is the most effective way, hence he places great emphasis on practical projects where students can experience the results of their lessons.

Mr Chua’s areas of expertise also cover Network Security, Network Analysis, Forensics, Microcontroller Systems and Internet of Things systems.
