Hydrogen Generation through Electro-Reforming of Water with Biomass

Synopsis

Hydrogen is used in many manufacturing processes. One well-known process to produce hydrogen is electrolysis. Despite being commercially available, electrolysis of water is inefficient and energy intensive. In this project, the team designed and built an electro-reforming system utilizing Chitin, a biomass from shrimp shells, to increase the efficiency.
