This course aims to train personnel to be competent Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Auditor under the WSH Qualifications framework.

The competency-based course covers topics like WSH management system, legal requirements, audit programme, culture assessment, apply risks assessment methodologies.

Course Objective

1. Conduct WSH Management System Audit
2. Advise on WSH Legal Requirements and Good Practices
3. Manage WSH Audit Programme
4. Recommend Continual Improvement to WSH Management System
5. Apply Risks Assessment Methodologies in WSH Process
6. Conduct a WSH Culture Assessment

One elective which will be offered to participants (subject to changes):
- Apply WSH Operational Excellence

Note: Participants are required to undertake continuous assessments, assignments and written test.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

Track 1
• A recognised WSH degree qualification for WSHO registration with MOM (refer to Note.1) ; AND
• At least 2 years of post WSH qualification working experience as a WSH officer or similar occupational role (refer to Note.3)

OR

Track 2
• Technology/Science-related / Engineering diploma/degree (refer to Note.2) ; AND
• WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH qualification (Level C); AND
• At least 2 years of post WSH qualification working experience as a WSH officer or similar occupational role (refer to Note.3)

OR

Track 3
• GCE 'O' Level English & Mathematics grade B4 or ES Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 7; AND
• WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH qualification (Level C); AND
• At least 2 years of post WSH qualification working experience as a WSH officer or similar occupational role (refer to Note.3)

Note:
1. A recognised WSH degree for WSHO registration with MOM includes:

• Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Degree conferred by the University of Newcastle Australia
• Bachelor of Science (Health and Safety) conferred by the Curtin University of Technology (Australia) - Singapore Campus
• Bachelor of Science in Human Factor in Safety conferred by the SIM University (UniSIM)
• Master of Science in Safety, Health and Environmental Technology conferred by National University of Singapore
• Bachelor of Science (Hons) Safety, Health and Environmental Management conferred by Leeds Beckett University (Singapore campus)

2. Recognised Engineering degree refers to any qualification listed in the Professional Engineers (Approved Qualification) Notification. / All Technology/Science-related diplomas from local polytechnics (Singapore Poly, Ngee Ann Poly, Nanyang Poly, Republic Poly, Temasek Poly)

3. "Post-qualification working experience" refers to 2 years of work experience after awarded SDWSH or equivalent

Certification / Accreditation

Participants will be awarded the WSQ Graduate Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health if they fulfill the 75% attendance rate as well as pass all the assessments required by the course.

Suitable for

Personnel who are engaged in WSH job functions and are likely to be in a professional auditing and advisory role or current WSH officers who aspire to become WSH Auditors.

Course Fees

Full Course Fee: $3,960.00 (excluding GST)

GST: 277.20

Participants who have been granted the SSG funding but fail to meet the above requirements would be liable for the subsidised course fee.

Payment is NOT required at point of application. Fee is only payable upon acceptance into the course.

Singaporeans aged 25 years and above may use **SkillsFuture Credit balance to offset respective course fees.

Please ensure you have the following documents with you during online application as documents are to be uploaded to complete the application:

1. Photocopy (back and front) of NRIC for Singaporeans and PRs, or 'Employment' / 'S' Pass for foreign applicants

2. Copies of your academic certificate/result slip/ transcript (GCE 'N','O' Certificate, Diploma, Degree, WPLN SOA)

3. Copies of certificates of training in WSH or other related areas attended

4. Letter from current employer with designation, duration of employment and job description relating to WSH

5. Completed CV including current and all past jobs with designation, name of employer, duration of employment and job description

IMPORTANT: Applications without ALL of the above required supporting documents will be considered incomplete and rejected. Singapore Polytechnic regrets that we will not be able to inform individual applicants of the incomplete documentation nor disclose the reasons for selection/non-selection of applicants.
