Course Introduction
This programme aims to provide an overview of the infection control measures and management means in non-hospital facilities. As such, it focuses on the principles of personal protective equipment and disinfection in the cleaning industry.
Course Objective
The refresher programme is intended for personnel who have been trained under the two-day programme on Environmental Infection Control and Management in Non-Hospital Facilities. The programme aims to refresh the participants on the overview of the infection control measures and management means in non-hospital facilities. The four learning objectives are:
- Understand Ebola Virus Disease
- Apply Principles of Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Procedures
- Demonstrate familiarisation in the donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment
- Understand Principles of Disinfection
Course Outline
The refresher programme on Environmental Infection Control and Management in Non-Hospital Facilities aims to refresh the participants on the overview of the infection control measures and management means in non-hospital facilities. This programme prepares the participants to be able to use appropriate PPE and cleaning chemicals to perform cleaning in public area in accordance to organisational procedures
Course Content & Structure
The refresher programme on Environmental Infection Control and Management in Non-Hospital Facilities aims to refresh the participants on the overview of the infection control measures and management means in non-hospital facilities. To accomplish this aim, the customised refresher course is a 7-hour programme that includes a summative assessment. The breakdown of the course components duration is shown below.

Suitable for
Personnel who has roles in environmental infection control and management, and who has attended the two-day course on Environmental Infection Control and Management in Non-Hospital Facilities.
Minimum Entry Requirements / Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Participants need to be physically fit to put on and remove Personal Protective Equipment, including the fit for a N95 mask.

Award / Certification / Accreditation
• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate
• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the examination and meet at least 75% attendance rate
