Diploma Student Concession Card (DSCC)
All Full-Time matriculated Diploma students from a government or government-aided tertiary institution are eligible to apply for a Diploma Student Concession Card to travel on buses, MRT and LRT.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, all freshmen concession cards will be mailed to your home address. Check your iChat email for details.
Freshmen (Diploma Year 1 and Direct Entry Year 2)

Step 1: e-Enrolment / Onsite Enrolment Completed - From early April (JAE / EAE), OR
- From mid-April (PFP), OR
- Two (2) weeks after completing enrolment (DAE / e-Appeal / Late enrolment)

Step 2: Check iChat for email with application instructions - Please check Inbox, Spam and Junk mail folders

Step 3: Email received - Check your eligibility via TransitLink website [Link]
- If eligible, proceed to submit your application via one of the two methods:
Online Application Submit your application via this [Link]: i. Enter your personal details ii. Select location as "Singapore Polytechnic (Diploma) iii. Make payment online via eNETS, Mastercard or Visa* * Please temporarily disable your pop-up blocker
Payment in Person Approach any TransitLink Ticket Offices islandwide and bring along the following: i. NRIC (for Singaporeans and Singapore PRs), OR i. ICA Student's Pass (for International students) ii. SP Student Card iii. Cash payment of $8.10
Once application is submitted, TransitLink will print the concession card and deliver them to SP in 10 working days. |
Step 4: Second Email Received - An email notification will be sent via iChat when your concession card is ready for collection

Step 5: Concession Card Received - Students will need to perform an initial top-up of $10 to activate the concession card
- Students will need to purchase 1 of the 3 available concession passes to enjoy unlimited rides on MRT, LRT and public buses (Express buses excluded)
- Concession passes will only be activated upon the commencement of the semester in mid-April

For current students who did not apply for the concession card between Apr to Jun, please refer to the instructions in Step 3 for application, but skip the eligibility check. Once processed: - For online application, the concession card will be mailed to your indicated residential address in 5 working days

Approach any Concession Card Replacement Office (CCROs) and bring along the following: i. NRIC (for Singaporeans and Singapore PRs), OR i. ICA Student's Pass (for International students) ii. SP Student Card iii. Cash payment of $8.10 * Quote that you are a Polytechnic Foundation Programme student
You will receive the concession card on the spot |
Step 4: Concession Card Received - Students will need to perform an initial top-up of $10 to activate the concession card

At this point, you should apply for the Diploma Student Concession Card (DSCC) and stop using your Secondary School SmartCard. - Secondary School Smartcard will expire in a few months
- Concessionary travel passes cost the same between both concession cards

Concession Extension for Post-PFP students
For PFP students who are holding onto the 1-year concession card, SP will auto-extend your concession upon confirmation of your successful completion of the PFP programme.
The instructions email will be sent to you 1 week before your diploma term commences (second week of April) and you will need to tap your card at the Auto Top-up Machines (ATM) at all MRT stations to effect the extension.

Step 2: Extension Request Received - SP will send data to TransitLink to process extension
- TransitLink takes between 2 to 4 weeks to process the extension

Step 3: Extension Request Processed - SP will be notified once TransitLink has processed the extension requests
- An email will be sent to students' iChat with instructions on effecting the extended concession

Important: For students who: - Did a course transfer and are aware that they will graduate later
- Failed a module in their final semester and required to repeat an extra semester
Please notify us as soon as these outcomes are made available to you so that SP may submit your extension request early |

You are strongly advised to not top-up any value to the SP Student Card, and should solely use the concession card for travelling purposes.
Loss of Concession Card
If you have misplaced your concession card, you may obtain a replacement card via the following methods:

Option 1: Replacement at Concession Card Replacement Offices (CCROs) - Approach one of the CCROs listed in the link above and bring along:
- NRIC (SG / SPR), OR - ICA Student's Pass (International students) - SP Student Card - Recently taken passport-size photo taken against a white background - Cash payment of $21.10 - Initial top-up of $10 - Receive replacement concession card on the spot

Option 2: Replacement Request via TransitLink website - Access the above link and enter your personal details
- Complete online payment of $19.10 via eNETS / Mastercard / Visa
- Once processed, replacement concession card will be mailed to your indicated residential address in 5 working days
- Activate the card by performing an initial top-up of $10 at the Automatic Top-Up Machines (ATMs) found at all MRT and LRT stations
