DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (S99, DEEE)

Laboratories Supporting Biomedical Specialisation

Biomedical Electronics

Students will learn and measure the functional aspects and the various vivo signals generated from skeletal & muscular, cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory and urinary systems.

Biomedical Engineering

Students will learn to develop innovative medical devices to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases, and to rehabilitate and improve our health.

Biomedical Signal & Imaging

Students will learn the medical tools and equipment frequently used in different medical and rehabilitation engineering departments.

Digital Signal Processing

Students will learn the fundamental concepts and knowledge on digital signal processing (DSP) through the use of simulation software packages such as MATLAB and Simulink.

Medical Equipment

Students will learn modern electronic biomedical equipment that are made up of many electrical, electronic and mechanical components. In addition, the use of computer technology and application of complex software algorithms that are commonly used in these biomedical devices and equipment will be taught.

Biomedical Engineering Hub

Biomedical Engineering Hub provides a conducive environment and infrastructure for staff and students to be involved in applied Research and Development (R&D) work in the areas of healthcare and rehabilitation.
