DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA - S71)

Overview

The flagship course of SP School of Business, the Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) has prepared young talent for industry since 1986. Employers and recruiters recognise our diploma as many business leaders, entrepreneurs and senior corporate executives among our alumnus form a large, influential industry network.

If you want to be among them someday, this course is for you. 

Current world challenges – with so much change and complexity in our digital economy – require new approaches to doing things. In DBA, we build you a strong foundation in business by teaching you the necessary skills and knowledge. 

We let you choose what you study from a suite of modules and specialisations to apply to an area or mission of your choice, e.g.  Start an e-commerce business, secure a marketing job or take up a social cause by starting a non-profit initiative. 

You get to select what you want to specialise in from among three important business areas:

• Innovation & Entrepreneurship
• Digital Marketing & Branding
• International Trade & Operations
  

To succeed in today’s volatile economy, it is important to be adaptable and well-versed in multiple disciplines. With DBA’s student-focused, experiential curriculum, you can acquire important skillsets in several business disciplines of your choice - and be certified for it. Only in DBA do you get to earn additional certificates for taking our business specialisations. 

These qualifications will help you in your career or when you pursue further university studies with up to two years of modules exemptions.

This is the first business diploma that offers you the choice and flexibility to customise your own learning and career path through your selection of specialised modules!

• Choice & Flexibility - You have the flexibility to choose your own module combinations in Year 2 and 3 by selecting from suites of modules in any of the 3 areas of specialisation: Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing & Branding, and International Trade & Operations. The combination of modules you pick will also determine if you graduate as a Specialist (1 domain area), a Dualist (2 domain areas), or an All-Rounder (3 domain areas).

You will thrive in your third year when you apply all you learned into an industry project for a real company by embarking on an internship stint with our industry partners.

We maintain strong industry partnerships and alliances so you can be work and life-ready. Our students have worked on exciting projects with companies such as Bolloré Logistics, Exion Asia, Gong Cha, Keppel Logistics, Pacific Integrated Logistics, Shalom International, TruLife, Watsons Singapore and many more, have engaged DBA students to recommend ways to enhance their business. This is how you will apply knowledge and skills to real business issues.

DBA students get real work experience through hands-on consultancy projects in our Student Agency, a campus-based agency where our students take on client projects. Also, external competitions, networking events and seminars with industry experts provide you with current industry and professional insights on market trends and developments!

International Exposure

We create many opportunities for your growth. You can widen your horizon and heighten your global perspectives by working and interacting with foreign counterparts through overseas projects, cultural exchanges and international competitions.

DBA prepares you for a wide range of possible business careers giving you a good head start for your career in business and commerce.

DBA is also well-recognised by both local and overseas universities, with many graduates earning prestigious scholarships to pursue business-related degrees. Our graduates may be granted up to one and a half years exemption from typical three-year business-related degree courses by overseas universities.
